Thermoplastic polyolefin refer to polymer blends consisting of thermoplastic, an elastomer or rubber and usually a filler. They are characterised by high impact resistance , low density and good chemical resistance. TPO is extensively used in the automative industry ,for increased durability and toughness over conventional pp co polymers. TPO is widely used as a replacement for metals as well engineering polymers such as ABS ,PC and abs/pc. Thermoplastic include polypropylene, polyethylene, block copolymer polypylene. The properties are of the high end hardness >70 shore A.TPO can be injection moulded ,extruded and blow moulded.
